We will begin by exploring the theory of empowerment, unpacking the nature of power, what happens in its absence, and how empowerment shapes thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our panelists will share personal experiences of navigating power dynamics in the legal profession, offering valuable insights and perspectives. The session will then transition into an interactive workshop, where attendees will actively engage in exercises designed to strengthen their sense of agency and influence. Cali Franks-Field

Lawline, USA

Bio

Cali Franks-Field is a Learning Solutions Attorney at Lawline, where she drives business growth by creating high-quality legal education content and developing enterprise relationships within the legal community. After practicing civil litigation and insurance defense in Dallas for three years, Cali transitioned to her role at Lawline where she leverages her legal expertise to create engaging, actionable content that supports robust growth in the legal education space.

A native Texan, Cali earned her BA in Government from the University of Texas in Austin in 2015 and her JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2018. Her commitment to the legal profession extends beyond her day-to-day work; she has served on numerous boards and held various elected positions, including the Board of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the ABA YLD cabinet. In 2020, Cali was recognized as one of the ABA’s 40 under 40 On the Rise Young Lawyers. In 2023, she ran a state-wide campaign for President-Elect of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, connecting with over 2,000 young lawyers across Texas.

Alex Resnick

Evolve Leadership LLC, USA

Bio

Alex Resnick is the founder of Evolve Leadership, where he helps organizations strengthen emotional intelligence, leadership, and communication. Before launching his consultancy, Alex spent 15 years in sales, training, and leadership development across the startup and corporate worlds, working with high-growth SaaS companies and enterprise clients alike.
His fascination with human behavior began while studying Emotional Intelligence in Leadership as part of his Bachelors in Science in Management from Quinnipiac University. He has since coached leaders and transformed teams at organizations like Marriott and PBS, helping them navigate hard conversations, lead with self-awareness, and build trust under pressure. Alex is also a certified coach in Brain-Based Conversation Skills through the NeuroLeadership Institute, bringing neuroscience-backed tools to the way teams communicate and perform.

Bio

Aline is a passionate advocate for learning, education, and personal development. She is a Swiss Attorney and Of Counsel at Bonnard Lawson with over 15 years of legal experience in Switzerland and the UAE. Based in Dubai since 2014, she has worked with different law firms, founded her own firm, worked as an in-house counsel, and strategic advisor for startups. Her expertise covers private clients, commercial law, corporate structuring, international taxplanning, M&A, and sports law. Aline has led several education projects and brings a unique perspective from her past as a professional athlete. In addition to her extensive experience in the legal industry, she holds an NLP coaching certificate and is currently the president of the AIJA SCILL Board.
