THE OLD POST OFFICE MUSEUM AND CLOCKTOWER

Located within the Waldorf Astoria, this is a must-visit experience during your stay at the property. Managed by the National Park Service, it offers the second-best panoramic view of Washington, D.C., after the Washington Monument. The tower is open daily from 09:00, with the last ride up at 16:30. Admission is free, no timed pass or ticket is required, and no guided tours are offered, it’s a public, self-guided experience.

  • Private tour up to 11 passengers in a Mercedes Sprinter van. $220 per hour + 20% gratuity. 4 Hours minimum.
  • Private Golf Cart Tour: Fun and informative 2-hour tour of monuments, best enjoyed at night. $500 flat rate for up to 6 people, including gratuity.
  • CIA Spy Tour:  Unique 2-hour walking tour in Georgetown or Embassy Row exploring spy history. $650 per group, recommended after 5 PM.

THE UNITED STATES CAPITOL

These tickets are timed and a new tour starts every ten minutes. Ticket booking is free, and the US Capitol Visitor Center also allows for day-of tickets at the Center until 2:30pm. Please note that touring is closed on Sundays. Tours operate between 8:30am – 4:30pm.

It is a nearby experience that tells the story of the Assassination of President Abraham Lincoln and his final moments within the Petersen House. Advanced tickets can be purchased for $3.50 per ticket and limited free tickets are available on the date. Ford’s Theatre is open for tours from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

It is located across the street from the US Capitol Building and is a wonderful opportunity to visit important documents of our nation and the world. On top of this, the National Archives, nearby the hotel, houses the three main founding documents of the United States.
